Coaching Background:

Coach Sean Freeman has over 25 years coaching experience in several sports, including experiences at college and national team levels.  He started specifically coaching track and field in the spring of 2005. Over the last 14 years Coach Freeman has had the pleasure of helping athletes realize their potential in track & field. Most of the athletes didn’t come from a track background but quickly demonstrated their ability to compete with some of the best from around Alberta, nationally and internationally.

Coach Freeman believes there is plenty of athletic talent for track & field in Southeastern Alberta. The hard part is getting athletes to see the opportunities that are available in the sport.

As well as a coach, Sean is also a competitor in Master’s track & field. He has competed in Western Canada at various meets including 2 national championships. In the winter of 2010, Sean was supposed to represent Canada at the Masters’ s World Indoor Championships in the Pentathlon. Unfortunately a month out from the competition he suffered an injury which kept him from competing in track and field for over a year. Sean hold's 2 indoor provincial records in master's track & field.
